What to Expect

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin

  • Avoid active skincare products like retinol and exfoliating acids for 3-5 days prior to treatment

  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure for 4 weeks prior and use SPF 30 or higher daily

  • An optional topical numbing cream can be applied 30 minutes before treatment for comfort

  • You may feel a mild warming or prickling sensation during the treatment

  • Immediately following treatment, your skin may appear red and feel warm, similar to a mild sunburn; this typically subdues within a few hours

  • Your skin may feel rough or dry for up to 14 days as it heals; keep the area well moisturized and avoid picking or peeling

  • Avoid strenuous exercise, excess heat, direct sun exposure for 3 days following treatment

  • Use SPF daily

  • The number of treatments will depend on your treatment goals, and how aggressive of a treatment you would like to receive. Typically 3-5 treatments are recommended spaced 4 weeks apart for CoolPeel treatments. For the more aggressive DEKA treatment, 1 session can be sufficient. Your provider will customize a treatment plan with you.

  • Traditional CO2 treatments deliver heat deeply into the skin, which produces dramatic results but requires significant downtime – often a week or more. CoolPeel uses high-energy, short-pulse technology to resurface the skin without causing unnecessary thermal damage to surrounding tissue, significantly reducing downtime while still delivering impressive results.

  • Yes! CoolPeel pairs well with Aerolase & Tox Injectables. Your provider will help create a custom treatment plan for you.

  • The treatment settings are customizable which allows us to adjust the spacing of the delivered heat to the skin and therefore safely and effectively treat darker skin tones.
